The Irken Savior Saga Vol.3
Story By: Andrew Vargas

“There it is, the Resisty mother ship. Now we can start on our revenge on the FILTHY IRKENS! Er…No offense.” The Resisty captive said.

“None taken. So that’s it eh? I always though it’d be… bigger… Anyways, we can find a way how to destroy the Irkens if we put our minds together.” Opaque said with confidence.

“Alright, well, I need a password to get into the docking bay, do any of you two remember it?” The Jacker Interrupted Opaque.

“Bring up the screen, I remember. Let’s see, it was. I.C.U.P.”

-Password Correct-

All felt right to Opaque. He had saved some prisoners from the corrupt clutches of the Irken Judicial System, escaped from planet Irk, settled an old score with Galatica, and had joined an alliance with the Resisty. All was going well until they landed on the docking bay. Everyone walked out and was welcomed. Opaque was the last to walk out and was quickly restrained from his arms and legs with no hesitation and questioning and sent into the Resisty hold. The other’s were puzzled and shouted and yelled to release him, but they were ignored, even the two Resisty captives he had saved. The Resisty guards stripped everything from Opaque, even his clothes, leaving him nude in a cell that was fairly dirty due to the Resisty not having many, or any prisoners to keep captive in their hold, or so they thought. No one but Opaque knew about a small hair brooch concealed two items within his hair, inside held a suicidal device which cause a massive explosion that could spread into 10,000 meters, Opaque always wanted to go out with a bang. His other Item was his most treasured possession; Hexentals memory chip. He never gave up on his friend, and he knew Hexental would do the same. He was right after all; he was there after the battle with Drax. He knew that he could repair Hexental, or re-crate him in a new vessel. They chained Opaque up onto the wall with special locks. Opaque was tall so he didn’t hang from the chains; they were merely designed for the smaller Irkens, not a tall one. The chains were tight on his wrist, and on his ankles which caused some cuts and internal bleeding. He was cold and hungry, but there was one thing that was on his mind, a plan on how to bring down the Irken empire. Opaque was held captive for three days. Three days was how long his trial took place. His only defendants were the people he saved, and the Judge, the founders of the Resisty and the current leader, Lard-Nar. It was hard for the defendants to convince Lard-Nar and he others that Opaque was not like the other Irkens, that he also sought to seek revenge against them. The decision was made, Opaque was to be spared, for the time being. Lard-Nar personally came to Opaque’s prison cell to hand him his possessions back, all except his cloak. They had “accidentally” lost the cloak, when in reality, one of the guards spilled one of his explosions kept inside his pack on his cloak setting it on fire and giving the guard a minor burn injury. So Lard-Nar handed Opaque a new cloak which wasn’t so new. It was just an old long red table cloth with one hole for his head. As Lard-Nar handed opaque his possessions, he spoke.

“You have been trialed Innocent for the time being. You have also been chosen to aid us in our battle we wish to end in the near future against the Irken Empire and have been ranked military leader. All we need now is to devise a plan on how to…” Lard-Nar was then interrupted by Opaque and finished his sentence for him.

“Devise a battle tactic. And a battle tactic I have. I thought up of it as I was here in the cell. It’s a crazy plan, but with my help, and with training, It could work, for both sides. Can you wait a month?” Said Opaque.

Lard-Nar was surprised to see Opaque’s determination. He replied, “If it’ll work, then you have all our time.”

Throughout the time on the Resisty mother ship, Opaque was glared at and never trusted. It took him a while to become one of them. Eventually, with his own personality, the others began to appreciate him and his generosity. He had taught them how to build and create new technology and weaponry as well as defensive armors and ships. The Resisty also expanded in numbers; as previously planned, he assigned a squad to spread out and recruit for the Resisty. Opaque had also designed new battle armor for ships and organisms. He had taught ways of battling and how life should be spared if given a choice and if that life is also not a crucial threat to the universe. In Opaque’s free time, he had also designed his old red table cloth into battle armor and a stylish look. He had trained new members and current members on tactical strategies and maneuvers on the battlefield. Opaque had taught them how to fight, defend, and survive. Of course not all alone, he also had help from others, apprentices of his. All was going well, and the revenge upon the Irken Empire would soon take place in one week. Opaque decided it was time to start his biggest project ever. In that last week, he had tried his best, but always failed to bring back that special shape he lusted for. He could not build Hexental as he was. All his models he had designed and built did not suit Hexental’s personality. Opaque was depressed and frustrated. He felt ashamed that his attempts to bring back his friend were all futile.

“DAMMIT! I’m sorry Hexental, I try and try, I’ll never get you back to the way you were. I won’t give up, even if I die, after death I shall try!” Opaque talked to his vessels as if they were Hexental. He never got a response, but in his mind, he knew what Hexental would reply with.

“It’s ok, you’ll get it someday.”

Today was the reckoning day for the Irkens. And Opaque had just finished his last design. He wanted Hexental’s help, so he took a risk of connecting the sensitive memory chip of Hexental’s onto the new vessel.

“Activate, Hexental R Ressurection!” Opaque shouted.

“ACTIVATE, HEXENTAL RESSURECTION!” Again Opaque shouted.

It was no use, no matter how loud he would speak out the command to bring back Hexental; the vessel would just lye there, motionless. Opaque looked down in failure and shame and started to cry. Just then a spark shot out of the vessel. Opaque looked up in hope to see that it had worked. Nothing, he inspected the vessel to see the memory chip burned and sparked. It was fried; Opaque shed tears but soon wiped them and got up and prepared for the day.

“I’m sorry Hexental. I guess you’ll have to miss out on the fun. I promise your memory will live inside me, forever. Sorry I couldn’t save you.” Opaque said as he mourned for his beloved friend and walked out his door to begin the day.

Opaque soon arrived into the information lobby to inform and guide the Resisty members. He walked up onto the highest platform and started his speech, as he gave his speech; he tried to ignore Hexental and his failure of resurrecting him. He knew Hexental would want him to move on.

“FELLOW RESISTY MEMBERS! The time has come for us to strike back against the Irken Imperial for all their evil deeds! This is a short, but powerful speech, and remember this well as you fight on either in space, in the atmosphere, or on ground. Some of you may lose your lives, but your soul and it’s spirit will go on for the good of the universe. Your offspring will live in a better tomorrow, a tomorrow with no Irken enforcement. The Resisty was a small rebellious group, now we have grown in numbers. TOGETHER WE SHALL RISE AND CURE THE CANCER THE UNIVERSE HAS BEEN BESTOWED UPON! We are all apart of this battle that will begin. Operation Purify will commence soon and I wish you all a good and safe return. Soldiers please remember what you are fighting for now and it shall embed into your soul and empower you! Family and friends believe in your comrades and defenders to shield them from the Irken cancer. We now have the advantage, and we will use that advantage against them. LET OPERATION PURIFY BEGIN!

With that speech said, Opaque and the other soldiers walked into the war room to review the battle strategy before beginning the assault. The carrier ships were cloaked and were to float into the Irken orbit. They held the artillery and infantry to barrage the planet from within weakening them inside and to minimize casualties from the sky and space. The Space ships were distractions for Irken space ships so the carrier ships could get through.
Once the carrier ships landed, they would let out the infantry and the anti air to destroy the space ships and air ships to let other Resisty space ships into the atmosphere to battle and defend other coming carrier ships. Once that was held out, that is when they were to take the advantage Opaque spoke of. He would be one of the mid-fleet ship assaulters. He would land onto the planet and disable defense and destroy offensive powers and sabotage everything else with his Intel on Irken machinery. There his plans would take place and infiltrate the tallest chambers to assassinate the tallest and their leader.

Operation Purify began and all went according to plan. With their element of surprise, there weren’t many casualties on the Resisty side. Opaque soon landed on the planet and sabotaged what he could and soon began to carry out his plan. He had to kill Irken guards since they were in his way. Though he hated to end their lives, he tried to make it as quick and painless as possible. He arrived onto the tallest chamber. There they were the two tallest, Red and Purple; It was a two on one battle. The two tallest fought well and so did Opaque. The battle did not last long, all Opaque could do was critically injure the two. He was struck by the leader of planet Irk with its mechanical tentacle. It then held Opaque on his two hands and held him high and spoke.

“You are guilty for betrayal, punishment, death.”

Red and Purple tried to get to see Opaque’s death but were bleeding too much and their blood was flowing through their eyes. The Irken leader lunged a fatal blow at Opaque with one its tentacles. It was blow apart by a small Irken wearing dark clothing. The same dark clothing worn when that Irken was caught trying to steal the Irken Imperial Gem. That Irken had saved Opaque but was quickly struck down by another tentacle from the Irken leader.

“Galatica!” Opaque shouted worried for her.

“Heh, so you knew it was me? Guess my speed wasn’t enough to get you out of here. I’m glad you never forgot about me Opaque, I’m sorry I couldn’t help you…” Galatica’s last words as she fainted due to massive blood loss.

“Nuisance, you were trusted just to lose it all on this reject. I shall end your life immediately!” The Irken leader shouted.

“NOOOOOOO!!!!” Opaque shouted.

Suddenly the rooftop of the room collapsed and the rubble and smoke covered the area. The leader’s tentacle was stopped from crushing the fainted Galatica by a small robot.

“Access denied. I cannot allow you to hurt Opaque or my friend.” Hexental replied to the Irken leader’s strike.

Hexental’s new vessel stood there, his two arms holding the tentacle soon grabbing the tentacle and pulling it out of the Irken leader tearing it out. Hexental grabbed Galatica and freed Opaque from the Irken leader’s clutches and put Galatica on Opaque’s arms to mend her wounds. Red and Purple used that chance to give everything they had to destroy them all three, but Hexental’s new body spurt out tentacles of his own slicing up Red and Purple dead. Hexental knew Galatica wouldn’t make it and Opaque was all broken up from the beating he had endured from one of Red and Purple’s barrages. He decided to flee onto H.E.X. Hexental had located where the ship was and restored it to what it once was; excluding looks.

“NO! INVADER KAT! WHERE ARE YOU!? GET THEM!” The Irken leader demanded as it informed Kat through telepathic message.

There was no reply.  A few seconds later she arrived in front of the Irken leader with an evil smirk and emotionless eyes.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!? GO GET THEM YOU FOOL!” the Irken leader again shouted at Kat.

“I’m not taken order from you anymore.” Kat replied. She then destroyed the Irken leader with dark long blades which came from her back. She laughed manically as she destroyed her leader. She had stumbled across the Irken Imperial gem and had un-locked her true form. Her mechanical parts were destroyed and her true demonic form healed those parts. She had complete control and was her own now. She turned around and looked up into the sky to see H.E.X. and gave another evil smirk. Although, this one was more mystifying than the one she gave the former Irken leader.

“Run for now, it is no use. I shall get you all, and most of all, I shall win you Opaque. You shall be my prize.”

“Can you hear me?! CAN YOUHEAR ME!?” Hexental shouted as loud as he could, but Galatica gave no response. “This isn’t good; you both have to make this, especially you Opaque.” Hexental was worried. He had to aid the two injured Irkens and he had not much medical care in his database. He couldn’t go to the Resisty mother ship since he would be attacked on sight, and he didn’t know where the mother ship was.

-Enemies sighted, 600,000 meters away, moving at a 100 meters per second.-

“No! This isn’t good. Galatica, Opaque; hang in there.” Hexental left the two Irkens alone in the back of the room, which wasn’t really too far since the ship Hexental used to get away was a very small space craft. The cockpit was only a few feet away from the two benches where Galatica and Opaque lied on. Galatica was the less injured since she was only in battle for a small moment, but in there to save Opaque from certain death. Opaque on the other hand was in more critical condition than the injuries he had obtained from his battle with Drax. Hexental knew Opaque would probably die, but he tried his best to ignore those possibilities.

-Enemies now in attacking range-

Hexental had no choice but to try and evade all the attacks. He did not know how to pilot an Irken vessel; he had not been adjusted to his new body and did not know how to fully operate it. Only Opaque knew how Hexental’s body would work to its fullest extent.

“This can’t be the end!” Hexental exclaimed in failure. Just then, the ships were obliterated from the sky. Hexental was confused, no other Resisty space ships were even there to help, his only common sense was that their engines were faulty and that is what caused them to explode.

“What luck, their engines must have been damaged during other battles.”

“No. Our engines are the best of the best, but their dodging abilities were no match for my aim."

Hexental quickly turned around to see it was Galatica. She was holding her sides with one arm (where a human’s rib cage would be located at) and another arm on a small electronic pad that had a small wire connected onto the ship. Galatica gave a smile that showed happiness and pain. She had used her pad obtained from her pack to hack into the ships offensive systems and used them to destroy the enemy ships.

“GALATICA! YOU’RE ALIVE!” Hexental exclaimed in shock as if he had seen a ghost.

“I know; I’m surprised too. I thought you would have killed me like I did to you.” Galatica replied still in pain.

“I would have, but you saved Opaque, so I figure that makes us even.” Hexental gave a smart remark.

“Heh, you two are the same.” Galatica then fell onto the floor. Hexental quickly aided her and urged her to stay and rest in the small bench.

“I’m fine Hexental, but what I’m worried about is if Opaque is.”

“To be honest, I’m not so sure myself. He’s been like that since I got you two into this Irken ship.”

“This isn’t an Irken ship Hexental.”

“It isn’t?”

“No. This is a disguised Resisty ship. I can tell the difference. A brilliant strategy, I’m sure it was one of Opaque’s ideas.”

“Does sound like something he would do.”

-More enemies closing in. 700,000 meters away.-

“How many enemies computer?” Asked Galatica

-A small militia of Irken space crafts. Now 600,000 meters away-

“This is no good. This ship has enough energy to fly, but if I use that energy to battle them, we won’t be able to move; leaving us drifting in space. We have no choice to run. Also more bad news, there are no planets near us.”

“There is Earth.”

“You think we’ll be able to make it?”

“I can lend some of my energy to get us there, but my energy could destroy the engine.”

“We have no choice. If we fight, we’ll be sitting ducks if there was another attack. And if we run, we’ll just end up drifting in space and die from the jaws of time. Hexental; do what you have to do.”

“I’ll be in the engine room. I’ll let you know when I’m connected. Ok, hurry.”

“Connected; Galatica, the rest is up to you.”

“Right. Engaging external power mode, using external power mode, engines are go.”

“Are we there yet?” Hexental stammered trying to keep the power stable.

“Almost Hexental; How are you holding out?” Galatica replied in hope.

“I’ve had worse.” Hexental replied with his hopes up.

-DANGER! ENGINES HEATING UP!-

“Arahhhhhhhhhh!” Hexental shouted in pain. The heat was too much.

“Almost there Hexental, almost…”

-DANGER! ENGINES UNSTABLE!-

“Argh!” Hexental shouted again, this time in even more pain, his arm blew off from the engine and so did part of the engine causing a shake in the ship.

“Are you all right Hexental!?” Galatica turned her head back to look at him regenerating his new body.

“Keep….going…” Hexental replied.

“We’re in the Milky Way!” Galatica said in higher hopes.

Boom! ZzzZzt! The ship again gave small explosions, this time it was a big one. The explosion freed Opaque from his resting area into an escape pod that had no power at all. His tall body hit the eject button closing the door of the escape pod and launching him into space with the ships last ounce of energy.

“NO!!!! OPAQUE!” Hexental and Galatica both shouted in fear.

“GO BACK, WE HAVE TO SAVE HIM!” Hexental ordered Galatica.

“We can’t. The launch of that escape pod used the ships last power. We have no control of the ship.” Galatica replied with sorrow.

“You mean...there’s nothing we can do!” Hexental shouted again at Galatica.

“Nothing but prepare for a crash landing. If we’re lucky, we’ll….crash….on….Ear…” Galatica fainted. Her wound got worse and she could not stay conscious anymore. She fell onto Hexental’s arms instead of the fiery floor.

“Dammit! Opaque, I’m sorry. Please, forgive us.”

The ship Hexental and Galatica were aboard crash landed about 80 miles from Opaque’s base on Earth. Hexental remembered where their base was and decided to take care of Galatica until she recovered. Galatica had been knocked out for 3 weeks since their crash. She had been slightly injured from the crash since Hexental shielded her upon impact. Hexental always wondered if Opaque was alive, if he himself had regained consciousness when Galatica awoke. When Galatica awoke, she had lost her will to speak. She would only reply to Hexental with facial expressions and whimpers. Hexental knew what was on Galatica’s mind, and that was Opaque. Month’s passed. They had been deserted on Earth due to lack of technology. One day Galatica spoke, she told Hexental that she’ll find Opaque if it takes her all eternity. The next day she was missing. She had devised a space craft using stolen technology from all over the world. It was broadcasted all over the world. Hexental was puzzled why she left him there on Earth, that is, until she found her note. In the note were an apology, a thanks, and an explanation of why she had left him there. Hexental understood, but was still furious. Sadly enough, she was right, someone had to stay behind just in case Opaque were to return.

Opaque’s escape pod crash lands on a planet named Teynkah; light-years away from Earth. There are many species that live on that planet. The pod he was in crashed in one of the planet’s festival. No one was killed, only slightly injured. They rushed him into their medical facility. It was no use, Opaque had died 3 weeks ago, 10 minutes after the battle with the two tallest and the supreme Irken ruler. The people had heard of an Irken who had rebelled against the Irken Empire. They knew that it was him. Also his description matched him. They decided to give Opaque a funeral and bury him into their heroes section. After his burial, they had made a special tombstone for him which inscribed, “An inspiration to rights of the living, Here lies the savior Irken”.

Six years have passed, and during that time, a new evil had risen. The last Irken tallest formally known as Kat was the ruler of the universe. She had complete power over everyone thanks to the Irken Imperial Gem. The Resisty had succeeded to end the Irken Empire, but not Kat. They still exist now opposing a new enemy.

It was a very stormy night on Teynkah. There, something had risen from Opaque’s grave. An Irken with one black colored eye lens and a Red eye lens. He had no emotion. His red clothing dirty from the dirt and dust he had risen from. He looked to his hands and spoke.

“I’m……Alive?”
